TaoTronics LED the Way for a Better Future

Forget the cold – the worst thing about winter is the dark. This holiday season, TaoTronics is shedding light on winter warmth and sustainability through its first lighting short film – LED the Way.

In LED the Way, TaoTronics traces the fascinating history of human light from fire in the Stone Age to the energy-efficient LED lighting — that helps pave the way towards a sustainable future.

TaoTronics LED the Way for a Better Future

When mankind learned how to create fire, it was a paradigm shift in human survival, evolution and development. We could now cook our food and keep warm. And almost by accident, this also triggered another, perhaps more profound revolution: we now had the ability to bring light where there was darkness. That revolution continues to this day.

artificial light

We’ve been living and working in artificial light for over 130 years, ever since Thomas Edison invented “a tiny strip of paper that a breath would blow away.” But despite the progress that our well-lit society has made, we’ve paid a heavy price — environmentally and financially — for incandescent, CFL, and other forms of crude lighting… until something better comes along.

Cutting everyday costs as well as living more sustainably at home are huge priorities for all of us. That’s why all TaoTronics lamps are 100% LED. The results will not only have a positive impact on the environment, but your wallets too, because LED bulbs consume up to 85% less energy and last 20 times longer than incandescent bulbs.

And it’s often the little things that make the biggest difference. That’s why we are so passionate about the switch to LED lighting.

All in all, it’s hard to tell where lighting technology will go in the future, but one thing is clear: it won’t be your grandfather’s light bulb.
