When is Black Friday 2021?
Black Friday is Friday, 27th November in 2021. Deals often run until the weekend before changing to Cyber Monday deals, usually on different items to those already on sale (which are likely to have sold out!).

Why is Black Friday celebrated?
Black Friday 2021 is another year of a long-running tradition. Apparently, from the 1950s people were calling in sick to work to have a day off after Thanksgiving – meaning they could have a 4 day weekend.
When it comes to modern shopping though, it’s said that the term comes from shops being ‘in the black’ after the weekend. That is, turning a profit, rather than being ‘in the red’ or making a loss.
From around the 1970s and 1980s, stores began to expand their sales after Thanksgiving. This has evolved and led to the current mark-downs you see today, largely on electronics. It is an incredibly successful day for stores across the US and, increasingly, the world, with billions of dollars made every year.

Space Heaters
It’s winter, which means one thing – staying warm! If you haven’t got a roaring fire to keep you going (or central heating, or heavy-duty blankets) then a space heater could be the answer to staying toasty this festive period.
